Yongan Branch (永安分館) March 2026 Theme Book Exhibition

Date: 2026-03-01 — 2026-03-31 Organizer: (中華民國)高雄市立圖書館永安分館
Yongan Branch has two theme book exhibitions from February to March (Exhibition period: 2026/02/01~ 2026/03/31):
1. Theme Book Exhibition: "Fragrance of Festivals Picture Book Exhibition" inspired by Taiwanese festival culture, combining reading, publishing, and lifestyle aesthetics to create a reading feast for all. The exhibition brings together high-quality books and local publications, allowing the public to get closer to words and feel the fragrance of books in a festive atmosphere. Through reading experiences, parent-child activities, and cultural exchanges, it connects generational emotions, demonstrates the depth and warmth of Taiwanese culture, and makes reading the most touching scenery in the festival.
2. Theme Book Exhibition: "Protecting the Blue Sea" Marine Conservation and SDGs Picture Book Exhibition is a themed book exhibition held by the Yongan Branch of Kaohsiung Public Library from February 1 to March 31, 2026. Using picture books as a medium, it leads children and adults into the colorful and profound marine world.
The exhibition features a selection of domestic and international picture books with marine themes. Through warm stories, vivid illustrations, and simple text, it introduces the diverse forms of marine life and the environmental crises they face. The content covers marine ecology, marine debris, climate change, coral bleaching, loss of biodiversity, and conservation actions, allowing readers to cultivate empathy and a sense of responsibility while reading.
This exhibition combines the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically echoing Goal 14 "Life Below Water," and extends to actions such as responsible consumption, climate action, and partnerships. The book exhibition emphasizes "from understanding to action," guiding parents and children to think together about how to implement ocean-friendly choices in their daily lives.
It is hoped that through reading, interactive displays, and action advocacy, the public will be encouraged to practice plastic reduction, energy saving, and ocean-friendly choices in daily life, turning inspiration into action and jointly protecting our blue future.
